About HUES
A Chiang Mai-Based Architecture & Interior Design Studio with International Experience
HUES is an architecture and interior design studio based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, working across residential, hospitality, renovation, and commercial projects in Thailand and internationally.
We believe a well-designed space should feel natural, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the people who use it. It should not only look beautiful, but also support the way people live, work, gather, rest, and move through everyday life.
Every project begins with a different story. Some clients come to us with a clear vision. Some begin with a piece of land, an existing building, a business idea, or simply a feeling they want the space to hold. Our role is to help shape those early thoughts into a clear, practical, and meaningful design direction.
At HUES, design is not treated as decoration added at the end. It is a way of understanding how everything connects — the people, the site, the light, the materials, the budget, the construction process, and the long-term purpose of the space.
Our Story
HUES was founded by Tamnanka Lertmanlikapohn and Pimpaka Loprasert, two Chiang Mai University architecture graduates with extensive experience in design, construction, and project management.
The studio was born from a shared belief that good design should bring clarity to complexity. A project may begin with many questions — about space, function, budget, materials, construction, or business value. But when these parts are understood together from the beginning, the design process becomes more grounded, and the final space has a stronger sense of purpose.
Our background combines international experience with a deep understanding of Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand. This balance shapes the way we work today. We bring global perspective into each project, while staying attentive to local climate, culture, construction realities, and the way people truly use space.
From private homes and villas to boutique hotels, cafes, restaurants, offices, and commercial interiors, we approach each project with the same intention: to create spaces that feel considered, functional, and quietly timeless.

Designed Around You
We understand that working with an architect or interior designer can feel unfamiliar, especially when it is your first home, first renovation, or first hospitality or commercial project.
There are many decisions to make, and not every decision is easy to see at the beginning. A material choice can affect maintenance. A layout decision can change the way people move through a space. A budget decision can influence construction, timing, and long-term value.
This is why our process begins with listening.
Before we design, we take time to understand your lifestyle, your business goals, your site, your budget, your concerns, and the experience you want the space to create. We believe the best design does not come from imposing a style onto a project, but from understanding what the project truly needs.
The “U” in HUES is more than a letter in our logo. It is a quiet reminder of how we work: you are at the center of the journey. Every project begins with your story, and our role is to help shape that story into a space that feels clear, functional, and meaningful.
Our goal is to make the process clearer, more thoughtful, and less overwhelming — so you can make decisions with confidence.
Our Team
Behind every HUES project is a team of architects, designers, and project coordinators who work closely together from the first idea to the final detail.
We believe good design is a collaborative process. Each person brings a different way of seeing — through space, materials, construction, planning, detail, or coordination. When these perspectives work together, the result becomes more thoughtful, more practical, and more complete.
Our team values clear communication, careful documentation, and a shared understanding of the design intention. This allows us to support clients not only creatively, but also practically throughout the journey of the project.

why HUES
Clients come to HUES because they want more than a beautiful design. They want a studio that can think with them, guide them, and bring clarity to the many decisions behind a project.
Based in Chiang Mai with international project experience, HUES brings together global perspective and local understanding. We understand the expectations of international design work, while staying attentive to climate, context, construction realities, materials, and the way people truly use space.
Our strength lies in the balance between design sensitivity and practical understanding. We bring together architectural thinking, interior detail, construction awareness, project coordination, and management experience, so each project can move from early ideas to a built space with more clarity and care.
This allows us to create spaces that are not only beautiful in drawings or photographs, but thoughtful in real use — spaces that respond to people, context, budget, and long-term value.
At HUES, we believe design should feel natural, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit it.
